UMREG staff bring a truck full of bins to Bannatyne ~ every two weeks, change all bins, and return to UMREG where the material is sorted by hand, then bagged and trucked to a broker.

Preparation: 17 BBs, 3 BGs, 3 360s, 5 LBs, 10 boxes; transportation for two

Time Committment: 1 hour for two workers, once bi-weekely, plus 1 hour for two workers travel time. Sort time: ~4-5 worker hours.

Issues: coincidental bin availability matched to worker availability, diesel fuel

UMREG staff bring a truck full of bins to Bannatyne at a predetermined time every two weeks. Bannatyne caretakers bring bins from all locations to the loading dock or back door, to swap with bins UMREG has brought. Caretakers return empty bins to their locations. Full bins return to UMREG where the material is sorted by hand, then bagged and trucked to a broker.

Preparation: 17 BBs, 3 BGs, 3 360s, 5 LBs, 10 boxes; transportation for one or two, nozzle, soap, bags

Time Committment: half hour for one worker, once bi-weekely, plus 1 hour for one worker travel time. Sort time: ~4-5 worker hours.

Issues: coincidental bin availability matched to worker availability, tight schedule, diesel fuel, bins away from positions

UMREG staff bring a truck full of bins to Bannatyne ~ every two weeks and change large bins. Bannatyne caretakers dump box contents into large bins as needed. Full bins return to UMREG, where the material is sorted by hand, then bagged and trucked to a broker.

Preparation: 17+ BBs, 3 BGs, 3 360s, 5 LBs, 0 boxes; transportation for one or two, bags

Time Committment: one hour for two workers, once bi-weekely, plus 1 hour for two workers travel time. Sort time: ~4-5 worker hours.

UMREG staff travel to Bannatyne ~ every two weeks to dump bin contents into a compacting autobin, then wash bins and return to their positions. Autobin is picked up by mechanical sorting company or third party, delivered for mechanical sorting.

Preparation: Soap, Nozzle, Transportation for one

Time Committment: 1 - 1.5 hours for one worker, once bi-weekly, plus travel time

Issues: Glass, expense of pickup+sort, space for auto-bin, adding bins
